This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!
Ministering in the Tri-County Area

The following is our daffodil story from a few years ago......

Have you ever noticed the daffodils blooming in the spring on the hillside along Warrendale-Bayne Road, in the shape of a cross and with the message 'Welcome Spring'?  These bulbs, numbering in the thousands, have been transplanted to the hillside in front of the church.  This project, organized by Jeremy Corll, Troop 81, Wexford, was planned in order to fulfill the requirements to earn the Eagle Scout Award, the top award in Scouting.

The project is complete!!  Scouts and friends, family, church members and community members spent over 400 combined service hours in preparing the soil at the church, hand-digging an estimated 75,000 bulbs (we stopped counting after 45,000) at the Frey Farm, and replanting half of them at the church.  The other half were offered for purchase - $2.00/bag of 25-50 bulbs.  Over $1000 was raised and all proceeds were donated to Mt. Pleasant Church.   The story was picked up by the media and orders for daffodil bulbs came in from all over the country!
