Welcome to Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church!
Ministering in the Tri-County Area

We were only home 5 days when it was time to head out again.   During those 5 days, Debbie went to work, and Dan handled things at home - gathering kids together (Joe was at his grandparents so it required a trip north to pick him up), going through several weeks of mail, paying bills, getting Jeremy enrolled in college (CCAC for this year at least), and replacing a hot water tank that thankfully chose to leak the week we were home and not while we were away!  Debbie worked late most nights, and between both Deb and Dan's busy schedules, it was a struggle to get the clothes together for the next venture.

We left for Anchorage from Pittsburgh airport on Saturday, August 5, arriving in Alaska that evening, Alaskan time.   Eric was to fly in later, but his flight was delayed and he didn't arrive until very late that night.   We stayed in a hotel the first night and picked up the motorhome on Sunday morning.   It's a 30' Class C with slide-outs (for the non-campers, that means the bedroom and the living room walls actually slide out when parked, to make more room inside).    Our first stop with the motorhome was the grocery store to stock up on all the essentials, then we headed south from Anchorage towards the Kenai Peninsula.  Get out your Alaskan maps.....I'll be naming a lot of towns in the next few journal entries!

Stay tuned.....
