Welcome to Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church, Wexford, PA
Ministering in the Tri-County Area
Well, the first day of our tour is in. Jeremy has been recovering from jet lag, but is ok now. The day was leisurely, with a tour of Frankfurt at 4 pm, a return to the hotel, a welcome drink with Kurt Schwarz our tour guide, and a delicious dinner. It is now 9.30 pm and we are full, and bushed from a day as tourists. We even have name tags to prove it! Tomorrow, we leave at 8.45 and will be gone all day going to our hotel in the evening for dinner and bed. Today with our free time, J and I walked almost to Frankfurt! About 2 .5 miles, past a city park and swimming area. We are having challenges with the key board as it is not like the usa ones. letters are in different places. We walked across the Meine River and saw the area.j will note as what remains from WWII. Much of it has been restored because it was damaged so badly, but it gave a real flavor for what F. was like before the war. Now we must go as our minutes are running out. Onward we must go. Bye for now. Dan
During dinner we sat and talked with Inga (one of our fellow travelers) she was originally from Germany and she couldn't stop talking about Germany and the Germans. She was a very kind lady and taught me a bit more German. While touring Frankfurt we went to the Römerplatz (Roman square) it was very beautiful. We walked to several kirchen (churches) then we both had a half liter of Apfelwein. It was very good. Jeremy
