Today we were in Heidelburg which is in the palitinate region, which is where I think my dad's relatives came from.  It is scenic farm country surrounding villages and towns.  Heidelburg was an interesting place to visit.  Saw a Castle that was destroyed in the 1700's and never rebuilt, but is still standing and they were holding some sort of a concert there tonight.  Very ominous looking...walls on the tower were 20 ft. thick. 

 

J. is bringing my camera home to download pics.  No one here was available to do it and the internet access does not have cd burners.  Try as we might we couldn't link up with a place to do that.  Also had trouble the last couple of days finding internet.  Some places were 20 cents in euro per minute.  Way too much.  Gas here is about $5.50 - 6$ per gallon....  and we complain about the cost of gas. 

 

Two nights ago I found a laundromat...  Bubble Point... and did my laundry in a different language.  Any way my clothes are clean.   We figure we spent about $10 - $15  just to go to the bathroom, since you have to pay.
