Welcome to Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church!
Ministering in the Tri-County Area

When we were camping in Alaska, we often 'dry-camped' which means we didn't have electricity, water or sewer hook-ups.  The State Park and National Park campsites are beautiful and very inexpensive, but are also very primitive with pit toilets.  Some days I just longed for a regular flush toilet!

But when we got home, we had an even bigger surprise.  On our doorstep we found gas pipes and several notices from the Gas Company telling us they had found a gas leak in the line coming into our house and had disconnected our gas....the week prior!!   So here we were - 5 very tired souls (the flight home is a whole other story) who had been traveling for 2 days and carting luggage stuffed with dirty clothes.   Alas, we have a gas water heater and a gas dryer.....need I say more?

So, I got my flush toilets, but had to trade in the shower and clean laundry.  It wasn't until 4 days later that we finally had our gas leak fixed and the gas turned back on.  If you didn't find us knocking on your door, with towel and shampoo in hand, asking to take a shower, just consider yourself lucky!!   (and thanks to those folks who did open their doors to us and welcome us in!!)
